Acrylic paints are one of the most popular paints for artists and crafters for everyday projects like crafting, ceramics and painting. Acrylic paint is much like any other paint in that it is made from a simple combination of ground pigment and binder. They are water-based and easily come out of brushes and most art materials. Tips: Acrylic paints dry very quickly when applied in thin coats, and work well on materials such as posters and signs. Acrylic paints dry more quickly than oil paints, and allow the use of other media on top of the dried acrylic surface and can be used in high gloss or matte finishes.
